Worship & Education
- Worship: Saturday, 5 p.m.; Sunday, 10:15 a.m.
- Education: Sunday, 9 a.m.
Ages 3 through fifth grade meet on the second level in the former nursery area. Opening begins at 9:00 AM and students go to assigned classes at 9:15.
Middle school students meet in the lower level conference area.
High school students gather in the Senior High room.
Adult education consists of: Lounge class, Mary Long Bible Study in the blue room, and Fellowship Class in the Fellowship Hall.
Congregational Annual Meeting and Potluck on November 23
Mark your calendars for the Congregational Annual Meeting and potluck on November 23 following the 10:15 service. There will be no Saturday services on this weekend.
The potluck working meeting will begin at 11:30 and conclude at 1:00. The meeting agenda will include: Renovation Budget, Annual Budget, Team Reports, Election of Officers, and time for comments and conversation.
Make sure you join your fellow members as we share and discuss the future renovation plans and our mission in the church at large.
Thanksgiving Eve Bowling Outing
Burn some extra calories before the big Thanksgiving feast by joining in the congregational bowling outing at Main Lanes. We'll leave following the Thanksgiving Eve worship services (7:30 pm) and then proceed to Main Lanes. Both young and old are invited.
First English Outreach Ministries
On October 12, ten adults and 6 youth prepared and served breakfast to, and visited with, guests of First English Lutheran Church.[ Learn more ]
Stars Tutoring Begins at Beechwood Elementary
Stars Tutoring began at Beechwood Elementary School on October 13. What an excellent program, with a very finereputation. Please consider volunteering your time—1 ½hours per week, assisting the youth of the community. CallJen Peters at 417-5308 or the church office. Snack donations are needed.
Faith Lutheran Church Expresses Appreciation for the Service of Four Senior Pastors
Faith Lutheran Church has been blessed with many leaders, both clergy and lay, who have furthered the mission of the church. In particular, Faith has been fortunate to have in its midst four senior pastors who collectively have spent nearly 150 years in the ministry, either in the role of pastor, chaplain, counselor, Christian Education Minister or professor, but each focusing on spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Each has had particular roles, which have allowed him/her to touch many lives in countless ways.
